The INEOS Grenadier is a relatively new vehicle from a relatively new car manufacturer, with models first touching down on United States soil for the 2024 model year. Now that 2025 Grenadier Quartermaster trucks have started rolling off the production line, more and more drivers are searching for a Grenadier dealer to help them get behind the wheel of this exciting new adventure vehicle.

But what exactly is the Grenadier Quartermaster? At first glance, it’s easy to see that it’s a rugged pickup truck. It’s boxy, bulky, and looks like it is downright indestructible. Therefore, it takes little to no leap of faith to believe that it is a dedicated off-roading vehicle. Still, there are plenty of questions: what does this truck do, and what kind of features can you expect inside? Let’s take a look at the 2025 INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster lineup to help you decide which option is more appealing for your next ideal adventure partner.

Introducing the Grenadier Quartermaster

The Grenadier lineup was designed as the brainchild of INEOS Chairman Jim Ratcliffe, who dreamt of creating a nearly indestructible adventure vehicle that could stand up to any challenge. When the initial Grenadier models launched in Europe, it was easy to see that they were something special, combining a ladder frame chassis engineered by Magna, a suspension system created by Eibach, a highly capable engine from BMW, Carraro axles, a ZF gearbox, a Tremec transfer case, and RECARO seats. Essentially, it is the sum of parts from some of the brightest engineering minds in the off-roading industry.

The BMW engine in question is a 3.0L turbocharged straight-six that provides 281 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which includes manual override. While all Grenadier models include this engine, there’s one thing that sets the Quartermaster apart from other models: the 5.1-foot bed, perfect for stashing all of your adventure gear.

As the rest of the parts and pieces mentioned would indicate, the Quartermaster is definitively an off-road vehicle. Its galvanized steel body rides on a fully boxed ladder frame. It features a heavy-duty coil spring suspension, extraordinarily rugged beam axles from Italian manufacturer Carraro, and very serious underbody skid plates.

Real four-wheel drive is a significant draw for drivers who like to explore the trail less—or never before—traveled, but the Quartermaster offers so much more. A two-speed transfer case with a center differential lock offers exactly what drivers need to conquer untamed terrain. Both Off-Road Mode and Wading Mode are standard, allowing drivers to put their vehicles into low gear to conquer mud, sand, grit, and water up to 31.5 inches deep. And should things take a wild turn, a full-sized spare wheel, along with front and rear towing eyes, can help drivers get back to civilization unscathed.

Inside the Grenadier Quartermaster

Though the Grenadier Quartermaster was designed with pure utility in mind, it isn’t without its charms. Inside, the RECARO seats provide a cozy bolster against whatever the path ahead may throw at you, reducing fatigue on longer jaunts. The Quartermaster sports a standard Utility Trim—an interior that can easily be cleaned of all of the elements that are tracked in during your journey with floor drain valves that make washing it out easy.

The cockpit of the Quartermaster is designed to put everything the driver needs within reach. One shifter controls the transmission, with a second transfer case shifter next to it. The dash has distinct aviation vibes, with a series of well-spaced, well-labeled knobs and switches that control the interior temperature and audio volume. This is not a fully manual cabin, though—wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth hands-free technology are all aboard to make the drive more entertaining.

The Quartermaster also has your peace of mind at heart with a collection of driver assistance technologies. This includes exclusive Pathfinder off-road navigation, Park Assist Rear, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Driver Drowsiness Detection. Whether on road or off, you will be well protected.

The Grenadier Quartermaster Trialmaster Edition

Though "Trailmaster" seems like a generally good name for a truck that is equipped to take on nearly any situation, the most off-road capable trim of the Quartermaster is actually named after a jacket. But not just any jacket—the Belstaff Trialmaster Jacket was designed in 1948 for riders competing in the Scottish Six Days Trial, an intense motorcycle competition. Like the jacket, the Quartermaster Trialmaster Edition has absolutely everything you could think of for getting through tough times. That includes 17-inch steel wheels and BFGoodrich all-terrain tires to help you make the trek.

The Trialmaster version of the Quartermaster truck also includes front and rear locking differentials and a raised air intake. It’s prepared for whatever accessories and equipment you might wish to add to your setup, with an exterior utility belt and utility rails in the cargo bed, along with a protective liner for the bed. Speaking of those accessories, the Trialmaster includes an auxiliary battery with a high-load switch panel and connectivity for accessories that require extra power, such as the acclaimed optional LED light bar.

The Grenadier Quartermaster Fieldmaster Edition

The Quartermaster Fieldmaster Edition is also named after a Belstaff jacket, though this time, it refers to the Fieldmaster jacket, which is known for comfort and resilience, according to Belstaff. Certainly, the Fieldmaster version of the Grenadier Quartermaster pickup truck takes its name to heart, with a series of features that are designed to keep drivers and passengers comfortable while they see exactly how far the road less traveled extends.

This means not just leather upholstery but a soft, carpeted interior with heated front seats and a premium sound system. Best of all, the Quartermaster Fieldmaster includes a pair of rooftop safari windows, which pop open to allow fresh air into the cabin.

The Fieldmaster also includes what Grenadier dubs the Smooth Pack of features, all of which are designed for ultimate comfort and convenience. This includes a rear-view camera and Park Assist Front, along with a few extras that make cold conditions more bearable, such as heated windshield washer jets and heated exterior mirrors. Just as extra pockets are always welcome in a jacket, extra charge points and a lockable storage box are among the features that add to the overall experience.

Choosing Your Grenadier Quartermaster

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the 2025 INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster is the fact that it can be fully customized to your specifications. As a true off-road dedicated vehicle, the Grenadier offers a full suite of options and accessories to make your expedition through the wilderness less stress and more awe. From lighting to seating to cargo solutions for bikes, skis, surfboards, and beyond, the Quartermaster can be fine-tuned for your ideal adventure. It can even be outfitted to tow over 7,700 lbs.

Though the Grenadier Quartermaster was designed to be accommodating and capable, it has achieved true greatness with its nearly indestructible, unflappable nature. Regardless of whether you select the standard Quartermaster, the Trialmaster Edition, the Fieldmaster Edition, or custom-design your perfect pickup, the result will be a truck that can go the distance…and then a little further.
